Mary Alice Connor moved to Raleigh in 2010. She grew up in Kansas City, MO, and has moved throughout the country for family or career reasons. Moves included St. Louis MO, Atlanta GA, Summit NJ, Orlando FL and now Raleigh NC. Along the way, Mary did long term tours in Nashville TN, Burlington VT and Boston MA. As a result, Mary Alice has a strong appreciation for the real estate process in multiple states. Mary Alice graduated from the University of MO Columbia with an Accounting degree. Her career included Ernst & Young and AT&T. However, most of her career was in the healthcare industry where she held Executive finance positions in NJ, NY, FL and NC. Once her children graduated from college, Mary Alice went in search of her forever home. At the suggestion of her son, she checked out Raleigh which met all of her search criteria and so much more. Raleigh has a reasonable cost of living, multiple universities, great healthcare, diverse culture, exponential growth possibilities, international airport and a cutting edge business scene. The icing on the cake is that Raleigh is close to the ocean and the mountains. After her extensive career as a CPA, Mary Alice has decided to change course to pursue a career in real estate which is a passion of hers. Real Estate is a career that can utilize her strong networking, finance, attention to detail and strategy skills. She knows what it is like to move to a community where you know no one and need to find the property that will serve your needs as a home and a place to launch your new life in the community. Mary has “unpacked her bags” everywhere she has lived and become active on both small and large scales. She established a book club over 20 years ago in NJ that remains active today. She has served on several Boards of Directors for organizations that serve children with serious healthcare needs. Most of all, Mary Alice likes to help connect others whether for friendships, finding jobs or common interests. And now in the real estate, she can connect others in their new homes in NC.
